The grooved system joins pipes with a mechanical coupling over grooved ends instead of welding. Installation is therefore considerably faster, requires no welder or hot work on site, and the joint can be taken apart later — a real advantage during servicing, route changes or extending an installation. The system is used for fire-hydrant networks and fire-protection installations, compressed-air installations, and heating and air-conditioning networks. The range covers fixed couplings, concentric reducers, elbows and bends, tees and T-outlets, flange adapters, caps and U-bolts, so an entire route can be assembled from one programme. The flange adapter is a practical link to existing flanged valves, so the grooved system fits into installations that are already in place. Matching sprinkler and galvanized pipes can be sourced from the same supplier, which shortens completing the project.
